Default Plastic back window

I bought an '00 used in July, so this is my first winter (northern Virginia). Fall's been mild, so I've been able to drive almost all the time with the top down. Any advice re just how cold it can get before putting the top down might crack the plastic? Thanks!

I've never considered this, but I would imagine that it would have to be VERY cold for that stuff to crack ... I think it's somewhat durable.

I can't speak for the s2k, but the Miata
has a warning not to raise or lower the
top if the temp is under 40 degrees F.

Thanks, that's helpful -- info on the limits is what I was looking for. I'm assuming that even though the warning is from a Miata, the plastic windows are close enough to each other that I'll use that as a guide.

Honda has a similar warning about using/moving the top in cold weather.

Here's my pristine replacement. I had delamination and a couple of lines of opaque bubbles across the middle. Now I have a bad crease on the right ever since the first time I put this new one down. Luckily, I almost never drive with the top up. When I do, I put on the hard top.
