Default Plastic Back Window Separating From Soft Top

Hi everybody,

I apologize in advance if this thread is in the wrong place, please feel free to move it as necessary.

After parking my car (MY01) with the top down overnight, I put it up today and realized the bottom plastic rear window had begun to separate from the top in the middle. Has anybody else had this happen to them? Are there any known fixes for this issue or is a top replacement the only course of action?

This is the first time I have seen this particular issue discussed, that I recall. Was it a cold night before raising the roof by any chance? If you have no other issues with your top, I would try an find someone that could do a decent repair with the proper product and ability. It could buy you some time while you decide what you want in a new top.

Thank you for your input! It was probably 65 degrees in my garage overnight... so not particularly cold. Ultimately I’d like to replace the top with a glass windowed replacement, however the rest of the top is in spectacular shape and I was hoping to make it last as long as possible.

I’d check out an upholstery shop to see if they can repair it, especially if the rest of the top is in gear shape. Just compare costs vs the upgrade to a glass rear window. Looks easily repairable
