The car is 2000 with 11,000 miles on.
The plastic rubber molding around the windshield is peeling.
I asked for replacement bu the local Austin dealer said that it is not under warranty. However, they will glue it together for free.

Previously, I have had my Honda Odyssey done and the black adhesive is showing outside the mold and it does not look very neat. Its appereance looks like a excess caulking around the bath tub.

Does anyone know other Honda dealer that may replace the molding under warranty instead of caulking it?

Here are the pictures:

This may be a place where a repair is preferable. Why risk a bad windshield install if a little glue will solve your problem?

the only way to replace that piece is to remove and replace the windshield... I just watched them do it on mine while they replaced the windshield for a crack. I would probably let them try with the understanding that they will replace it if the repair is not satisfactory.

I have that happen on my S2K. I just smoothed it out and stretched it back into palce. Hasn't happened again. You might want to try that first to see if that helps.

I have the same problem on my S2K. Will talk to the dealer at the next oil change.
