Default Plastic window soft top

I'm looking into getting a 01 stooky soon (sorry I can't afford the 02 ) and I was wondering if any of you plastic soft top guys had any serious fogging/frosting issues?

No real problems.
BTW there are 2 mirrors, one on each side.
It is a little trickier backing out of a parking spot.

Yeah... yeah... I changed it.

Hmmm... my '00 only has one mirror on each side. Is that a dealer add on?

Plexus is a good product; there are several that will do the job. I've been using Blue Magic for the last year or two. Several people have asked me how much it costs to replace because they can't believe it looks like it does after 6+ years.

Thx for the replies guys. I probably will eventually upgrade to the glass rear, but at least now I know the plastic will last with proper care.

you may want to try using a window protector too.

There are foam bars to be had on ebay that you place onto the folding top as it retracts, or go to look into getting a MUZ MAT.

Both will prolong the life of your plastic window.

I just reread your post and realized you meant fogging/frosting from moisture.

If that is the case, I can't help you with frost on the outside of the window since my car is garaged. I'm not sure what an ice scraper would do but I can't imagine it would be good.

As for fogging on the inside, the few times I've experienced any I've just driven with the window down for a while with the heat on and it clears up pretty quickly.

My cheapass plastic window just crack on me yesterday. Im planning to just tape it up and put a decal over it. Get an 02 if you can afford it, dealing with the plastic window is a biotch
