Exclamation plastic window and winter driving?

Ok so how often do you guys with plastic windows roll the top down during the winter? I hate the cold so I probably wont do it that much and rarely snows here much in the Seattle area (last year was excpetion got a few days!!) and the temps dont usually drop below mid 30s. But in case I wanted to do it how often do you guys do it and any precautions or advice Owners manual I read said a certain temp to not lower it I belive.

My rule is if I can see my breath, I don't roll the top down.

The owner's manual is rather vague. It states, "Do not operate the convertible top in freezing weather. You can damage the material and mechanism of the convertible top." I didn't see it give an exact temp anywhere.

I love driving with the top down, but anything below 50 and I'll almost definitely have the top up.

Im not an S2k owner, but I do own a miata with a plastic rear-window (probably about the same quality/construction) and I wouldnt attempt to lower and raise the top under 45*. Last spring I was attempting to put my top up and it ripped the rear window . Now I figure I dont put the top down unless I know I will be able to put it up when it is nice and warm outside, or if for some reason it is going to receive enough sun to allow the window to stretch. I should be receiving my new top in a couple of days...think its been long enough?

Don't lower mine unless its 50 degrees or warmer. Several things could and probably will happen.

1) Window could crack if plastic is cold and brittle enough
2) Window will most likley not fold correctly causing additional unwanted creases

Besides that... If it's below 50, it's pretty brisk with the top down
