Default Please help, 2 questions on this used S

Hey everyone, I need some help please. I have been looking for an S for awhile now and this one looks really nice but there are two distinct issues that have me wondering. Ok, first, the dealership that is selling it claims that the title is clear but in the description, it says that the vehicle is from a theft recovery. Now, I admit I don't know a whole lot about this sorta stuff, so my question is: Is it possible to have a theft recovery vehicle with a clean title? My second question on this car is in the pics (below) it shows a pretty nasty gouge on the dash. This sucks! Has anyone ever dealt with this before? Is there a way to fix it? The thing is, I always wanted to join the dash cutter's club so from looking at some other pics it looks like if I joined the club, *almost all of the gouge would be covered, but maybe not quite all of it, I dunno. Lemme know what you guys think here. The car is in Houston, so maybe I'll post over there and see if any nice person would be willing to check it out for me. Thanks for your time guys. Here's some pics.

eh i'd pass unless it was like 6k. everything about it seems weird...even the rear bumper the part across the bottom should be black not red. the glass rear window also looks like droopy...

i would spend a few more and get a clean record flawless car.

Unless their offering you a great price, the car seems suspicious. Strange though as it is against the law to mis represent so I don't want to say for sure that anything is up. I agree with the above observations though. Take it to a mechanic and ensure it is sound. The dash can be fixed by a good body shop or they will send it out. It is amazing what they can do. This type of thing happens lots with older cars that get a lot of sun through the windshield. Not sure what it will cost though.

Like I say though they gotta be giving you a good price here or I would walk away.

Wow, that's right, I never even noticed that that bottom plastic piece was painted red. And to Kosmin, you really think the whole car was repainted huh? Hmmm, I believe you, but how can you tell? Here's the address for the site the car is on, with about 40 pics, if you guys could take a look at this and lemme know what you think, that would be great.

Thanks, yeah I think I'm gonna pass on it. There's better deals to be had. Oh and congrats on the new purchase by the way.
