I wanted to get everybody's opinion on this before i take any action. Alright, i took my car to Firestone to get an alignment and only to come and find out two hours later that some1 crashed my car while "test driving" it and then they tried lien to me about it. First, i come and i see my two front inner fenders all jacked up in the front because i have taken my bumper off because it was too low on the ground to put on the racks. I asked right away what was wrong with them and he said that they got caught underneath the tire or something like that while test driving it. Right away he told me he was going to buy me both of the inner fender thingys. They are getin my car off of there and they park it outside and i am paying for it when my friend comes in and tells me that my side strake is hangin on the floor and theres a huge scrape down my side panel and underneath the panel idk if its the body of the car or whatnot but its messed up as well i am about to put pictures up. I told him bout that called the cops they couldnt write a police report because it is a civil something. He wrote out that the right bottom side is messed up and that they will take responsibility. What i dont get is why he lied to me at first? and also why there was a piece of my inner fender inside the car underneath the seat???? and dirty smudges all over the thing that goes over the face. i come home and i notice that the car is sittin lower on one side than the other from the back by like a inch u can barely notice it though. and also there is a dent when i turned the light on by the fender as well but high as the s2000 sign on the side. i have gotten in an accident about a month ago so i dont understand how am i going to prove that they did the dent. also there is a scratch on my front rim that i didnt have before, even though i have other scratches on the other rim from the previous accident bout a month ago. i have pics from a photo shoot two days before this happened and i really dont get what im supposed to do. I have heard that i should sue them, then i have heard just to go with them and go to honda get the quote or w.e on how much is it going to be and go from there. i just wanted to see your guyses opinion on this and i am very sorry bout the mess.

I'd say go with them to a body shop and get an estimate to fix EVERYTHING. If they don't pay up, take them to court. they shouldn't "test driving" your car during an alignment, so if anything you should get more out of it than just fixing the damages they've caused.

 

Might need to lawyer up. Cop was right, this is a civil suit, they have nothing to do with it.

You must get an attorney quickly. The shop will end up eating the attorney's fees, but you'll have to go into it with the risk that you might not get the fees back and they might not have to pay to fix the car. The shop will panic when you hire an attorney and he/she starts threatening them with doom. They will then fess up and pay to make it end.
