I would contact your insurance company and seek advice. Funny as it may seem but the insurance company is on your side. You are the customer/client and it is in their best interest to be on your side. Unless you force them to think twice somewhere down the road or in the past.

I'd say go with them to a body shop and get an estimate to fix EVERYTHING. If they don't pay up, take them to court. they shouldn't "test driving" your car during an alignment, so if anything you should get more out of it than just fixing the damages they've caused.
most every shop that does a correct alignment, will test drive the vehicle before and after.

just because its firestone, doesnt mean that they were test driving just to test drive.

im not taking up for them, b/c i do know what they do. just sayin

C'mon, give him a break. His car was just fawked up.

OP, I'd go with a lawyer as others have suggested. Best of luck in getting this straightened out and I hope your ride comes back better than ever.

My shop does prob 5-10 alignments every day and we test drive all the cars before and after. Your biggest problem is not your car but your choice in repair shop. All big chain service and tire stores have tremendous problems with the quality of there work and employee's. We usually fix several cars a month that our local tire kingdom, jiffy lube, etc. screw up. All shop's carry insurance to cover damage that may be incurred to customer's cars, but getting the guy's to admit fault and submit the claim may be another story. My suggestion would be an adult one on one conversation with the shop manager behind closed doors. If you go in acting like a pissed of high school brat you will get nowhere. Taking them to court should be a last resort as the process is long, drawn out, and the burden of proof is on you. Just because your boy says your car was f-cked up by the shop doesn't make it so. You better have real proof or you will leave court paying there costs. Good luck with your problem and next time find a good local shop.

did they take an assessment of the condition of the vehicle before you left it with them like they do when you drop off a car at the dealership for service. I had an incident when i had my nissan where I had taken it for service. When i went to pick it up there was a nice deep indentation in my rear bumper. I refused to take delivery of the car until they rectified the situation. I took pictures of the car with the dealership sign in the background just in case I decided to take it to smalls claims court. Without much discussion they agreed to fix the car.

Stuff happens, they should have insurance to cover these types of incidents.

Lawyer fees can be expensive, try small claims court first, it cost $10-20 to file. If you are afraid of losing don't take it to arbitration, present ur case to the judge, if you lose, you can appeal, arbitration is binding(at least in NYC).

Is your car lowered?

edit: can you post pics?

Agreed...talk to the manager and the person who admitted to any of those claims. They will fix it as they are insured for that.

Also - good lesson learned. Take pictures of your ride at the moment you drop it off for comparison afterwards.

Good luck.

the part that i don't get and find very questionable is why they would take the front bumper off to get it on the ramp. they would have used 2x4's long before ever thinking about doing that. and if they still couldn't get it on the lift the would have said it was too low, go somewhere else.

also, if you crashed it and then had it repaired, i don't how thats going to be hard to prove. just show them the records of doing that.

now if you didn't have it repaired, and you are just trying to pawn this off on them, shame on you. though it doesn't sound like you are.
