Hello everyone,

I am inching closer to buying my S2K. But I just have some (a lot) questions I was unsure about. I know there are a lot of devoted S2K fans on this forum. A lot of people have gone out of their way and offered useful advice. So bare with me while I try to clear up some questions.

Here I go

1) the convertible top is a power top. it's physically very easy to operate unless your hands are in casts.
2) the porsche top treatment is good.
3) it's a small car, why power wash?
4) you prevent the top from being waxed by not applying wax to the top. i.e. use paste wax and an applicator. no need to mask. amazing roll-off gets most stuff off.
5) i wax about twice a month (there was a poll done a while ago on this topic). i wax by hand. buffers can leave swirls.
6) high octane.
7) for VTEC regularity and for oil choice and synthetic oil issues search the archives, lots of discussion.
8) no bra - ruins the lines.
9) for extended warranty, again suggest searching the archives.
10) it's a loud car. it's loud with the top down and louder with the top up. if you want a quiet car this is not the one for you.
11) i assume you're talking about the leather console. it's cosmetic.
12) it's tight inside and the seats are tight. only way to know if you're comfortable is to test it out.

good luck.

WOW,this post is covered. I'll say this. The members of this forum are obsessed loyalists to our precious S2ook. Don't misunderstand the information here. I was beginning to get cold feet reading some of the posts before I took delivery. That was a mistake. This is one incredible car. Don't second guess yourself for a second. You'll love it. The few nits I have aren't worth mentioning.
Send the dealer letter. Buy some Zaino. Punch the throttle to VTEC. Then just try and wipe that smile off your face.

Is the convertible top physically hard to open and close? NO.

Should that towel or poster roll with felt go on the outside or the inside? On the outside. Personally, I do not see the need for this apparatus.

When closing the top should what other precautions should I look out for? None.

What about protecting it on the inside? Muz Mat
