Default please QUICK question what "finish" are AP2 wheels

I need to purchase a replacement wheel for 2005 S2k
http://www.coast2coastinternational.com/wh...DA&_MODEL=S2000

this website lists 2 types of finishes

(btw i am not buying from them - shitty vendor)

i plan to buy from here and their parts listing only has "silver" (ALY63872U20)
http://www.wheelsandcaps.com/w_selection.a...PPLIERSKU=63873

hopefully it matches the rest of the OEM wheels on my car

I'm only guessing, but I would say the OEM finish is "silver / machined" for AP2 V1s. IMO, the inside surfaces on the spokes are silver, but the faces are machined. Probably worth contacting the vendor and sending them a picture of your wheels to make sure it'll match.

Try and find an OEM, i have seen pictures on here of "replacements" that aren't actually the same... very lame.

if i rephrase your suggestion it reads "no matter which finish of replica (asahi?) wheel you purchase it will not match, only OEM will"??

if so, where best to purchase the OEM wheel? i just need 1 and only seen 500$ quoets

Buy 2 of the aftermarket wheels and put them on the same side then sell the single OEM. No one but you will ever know. This is a budget solution but at times we all have to do things that are less than perfect.

i might go this route

since noone has come up with a definitive answer, i present, for future references, my findings so far:

1)some websites describe model #ALY63872U20 as "OEM" and #ALY63872U20N as OE-Replica.... difference being the "N" suffix.
2)other websites differentiate "non-N" and "N" models as "silver" and "silver and machined", respectively
3)i would characterize existing (original) wheels on my car as machined/polished on exterior faces, and pebbly cast-textured on the spiders, all silver colored; interestingly, this conflicts with description #2
4)i believe the actual honda parts number for "true OEM" is 42700S2AA91
5)some websites say the ALY model numbers are from "Asahi" - some dont
6)some say ALY non-N ("silver oem") are factory remanufactured wheels - some dont

so you can see, there's a lot of inconsistency in the product description. and all the websites steal pictures off one another.

i placed a purchase from finishlinewheels.com for aly63872u20. it wasnt the cheapest place for that product number, but their descriptions says explicitly "oem" with no mention of remanufacturing, or asahi.

thus, if it arrives and is a mis-match, ill either order a second to complete a pair (existing one a bit rashed anyway) OR send it to american express and let them fight it out
