Default Please someone help!

I have this really aggrivating noise imminating from somewhere on the rear passenger side of my car. It sounds like a loose spring bouncing around or maybe two metal rods bouncing off of each other everytime I drive over a pebble or acorn. I know it is on the passenger side and I am 100% sure its coming from behind the seat/rollbar. My best guess is that it is some part of the top mechanism but its driving me crazy. At first i thought it was the two tension bars on the trunk lid so I covered then with a 3M foam product but that wasn't it. I shook the spare, it didn't budge...

Anyone else going through this? Got a solution? Please let me know, I am desperate to stop this.

Sounds like an annoying buzz I had coming from the same area. I wasn't able to find the cause of the noise until I was installing my new soft top and had removed the plastic tray pieces where the top folds. I found that if I reached up under the back of the passenger roll hoop and tapped the top motor, it made the noise that had annoyed me for so long. I made a wedge out of electrical tape and stuck it between the motor and the body of the car. I then put 3M automotive tape across the bottom of the wedge to hold it in place. The pressure of the wedge on the motor has stopped the buzz completely.

Hope this helps.

Could also be the spare tire. Check that.

Check your spare tire to make sure the nut is tight.

This may sound like I am a tard but I tried to get the cover off last night to make sure it wasn't the spare and I couldn't get the thing off. How do I remove the carpeting covering the spare without destroying those little plastic fasteners?

I also tried to remove the plastic pieces last night and got about nowhere. I got them all loose but I couldnt get the panels out. I was removing the center pieces first... should I start from the sides?
