Default PLM AND PCX filters. What's the difference?

I called the dealer today to see if they have the blue PCX filter. The guy said they only carry the blue PLM filter and that is what they use on all s2000. I did a search and everyone recommended the blue PCX. So what is the difference? does it hurt to use the PLM?

there is a significant size difference. The PLM is much smaller in diameter, and may not be up to the task to meet the oil flow requirements of the F20C.

The PCX is not a recommendation, it is a requirement. THe small PLM is the wrong filter.

the PLM will fit, but it is not recommended for the s2000. the PCX filter can offer higher oil pressure and is specially designed for the s2000, so only use the PCX filter. the parts guys don't know what they're talking about.
