i sometimes have trouble getting my shifter out of gear even when the clutch is fully depressed. have to use a good deal of force to get it back into neutral. not sure why and could use help.

i installed a axialflow shortshifter many yrs ago. also have a aftermarket stiffer pressure plate and lightweight flywheel. clutch pedal pressure is high/normal feeling. when i come to stop with the clutch fully depressed, the car doesnt stall so i figure the trans is not connected.

doesnt make sense to me. pls help. im betting it's related to the throwout bearing?

Have you checked/inspected clutch fluid, master cylinder, and slave cylinder already?

 

checked fluid, but not the other components. just trying to understand what could be wrong in theory.

 

I have the same problem but my issue started when i installed my puck clutch with chromolly flywheel and PP. Im still under investigation on what the issue really is but i was told its the slave cylinder
