Yea, I was bored and wishing my Roxanne were here, so I took out my Mingster dead pedal and polished it. Damn it looks good. I sanded it with 600 wet sand on a rubber sanding block with soap water from the kitchen sink (Don't tell my wife). It actually looked pretty good after. Then I hit it with my polishing wheel and compound. Then cleaned it all up with Mother's wheel polish. It's berry chiny now. I'm going to check out Radio Shack for those rubber inserts next.

BiGal or BigAl, which ever...(just kidding, but your username makes me chuckle...)

The Rad Shack part number is 64-2346. They are sold as self-sticking cushion feet...

I put one of the feet into each hole on the pedal then I used epoxy to affix a second foot on top of the first one. This makes it stick out just enough to give nice grip to your left foot...which sure comes in handy!

Here's the polished Mingster Dead Pedal. Photo really doesn't do it justice. It's much brighter than it looks.

Cool, but all MY2001 Mingster Dead Ped's are drilled straight through, so I'm not sure what we're supposed to stick them to.

I'm going to cut some thin aluminium to the rough shape of the pedal, place it behind and glue the rubber plugs in place. Then when I bolt the peddle down it should hold the piece with the plugs in place, yet make it easy to remove and replace when worn.

I'm going to work on that one next. I've got several ideas for the plugs. I'll post pics when I find a solution that's easy for everyone.

Roxanne should be born some time in January and delivered late February or early March.
