Seriously, it depends on the quality of the kit. Some of them (the ones that are crystal clear and have decent mirroring) look great on the right car; the rest just look ghetto (IMHO). Most of the ones I see stuck on the back of Civics are the cheap crap, and definitely subtract from the overall effect. The cloudy clear look is defintely a negative.

I think if you have a metallic monochrome paint job (especially white/black/silver) they'd look good. Suzuka blue looks OK. Red and yellow aren't so hot.

fwiw - my L came with these ricey lights. Like the Altima and IS300, it's standard equipment. For Ls I think the only color they look good on is silver, which is the color I have. I think they look like crap on red/blue/white/black Ls. If I had gotten one of those colors I would defintely have replaced the lights with dark smoked ones.

 

clear corners and jdm housings are just aces man, ACES

 

clear corners only look good on silver s2000's IMHO. Otherwise, there is a risk of being a ricer, b/c clear corners can deifntly detract from a cars look. Also not a fan of light blue sidemarkers (JDM) because they shoudl eb that wicked jap amber that everything else is. Mike
