Poll: Multi-color windscreen lights with brake and reverse
funky, any size you want.
According to Canada Post my boards arrived in Vancouver and have left Canada (I'm hoping that means they're in the States somewhere...you just can't assume with this type of stuff anymore
) as of yesterday morning. Possibly a Monday delivery?
All of the parts arrived today for the first 10 boards except for the cases. The LEDs arrived yesterday. The 'rents flew in this evening. Juggling the next 10 days is going to be interesting

Don't worry, Dave, you're in the first batch of 5
All participants will receive a PM discussing all of the shipping details once it's time to send them in. I will post a link to the new thread to this one, so you won't miss it.

Arrrggghhhhhh! Came in today from a few shopping hours in Nashua with the folks and had a message from the post office in my box...the boards are in, but I can't pick them up until tomorrow since they're still on the delivery truck
OK, just picked up the boards. they look REALLY nice, except for one minor detail
In my haste to make a footprint for one of the components (the variable resistors), I forgot to add in drill holes
So the boards look really sweet, but I have to buy a drill press and drill out the holes myself <sigh> More work created by my lack of attention to detail. We're heading out to take the 'rents on the Duck Tours and see the Museum of Science, but on the way back I'll pick up a drill press....maybe even finish up a board tonight.
Cases are scheduled to arrive this Friday.

Thought I would give everyone a quick update on the progress.
I picked up a drill press, but had a hell of a time finding the right size bits. As luck would have it, I came across a really cool set of mini bits with the assistance of a VERY helpful sales kid (he found two impossible to find items for me). Imagine the standard metal drill cases you see at Sears, but in REALLY miniature format...it's practically cute!
Anyway, between the bits and the press I was able to make the necessary modifications to the boards, and with a bit of solder time was able to put together the first controller
It hasn't been tested yet, but I'm hopeful (due to my hamfistedness, I dislodged a trace from the board slightly, so a bit of Goop was in order to make sure it didn't completely remove itself). If some free time presents itself tomorrow afternoon, I will try to get a complete screen set up with the LEDs. If that goes well, maybe I can install it on Steve's car and get some pics.
The prototype parts for project #2 (instrument cluster upgrade) are supposed to arrive Monday.
