View Poll Results: Poll: What kind car culture do you associate yourself with?
Hardcore enthusiast: Driving gloves, back roads (Colin Chapman and Gordon Murray are my heroes)

42.86%
Track: This is not a car- it is a tool for speed. 2850 lbs is still 1000 too much (Krazik is my hero)

2.38%
None: I just bought the car because it is cool. I either use it simply as a mode of transport or take it out on the weekends for ice cream

Poll: What kind car culture do you associate yourself with?
I see so many different opinions on different cars, aftermarket products, etc. and I think this has a lot to do with the wide variety of car enthusiasts the S2000 attracts. What kind of culture do you associate yourself with?
I am a hardcore enthusiast, but I have no problem with any of these cultures- whatever floats your boat.

I voted "None". I bought it because it's a cool car, fun to drive, and makes getting to and from work a whole lot more entertaining.
That having been said, I don't know if I'd consider these to be "cultures". IMO, they just seem to be different reasons for buying the car, not necessarily cultures by the strict definition of the word.

Why would anyone take their car to the track? The S2000 was designed strictly for the boulevard.
Either way, I don't see the point in driving fast and turning hard. Doesn't do it for me. I'm all about the 26" spinners, ghost flames, fuzzy dice, and ostrich interior.

I'm in the "Computer nerd, F1 fan, occasional autocross, no kids so can afford a 2 seater sports car" culture.
You may say that's not a culture, but there are several people here at my work in that group, and we get together socially on occasion (mostly at Mirimar Speed Circuit, an indoor karting track). The cars in the group consist of:
3 S2000s (2004, 2001, 2000)
1 Porsche 911 (1969)
1 BMW 2002 (same guy has a Z3, and is restoring a MG, but the 2002 is his AutoX car)
1 Mercedes SL 600 V-12(1990?)
1 Rx-8
1 BMW 318 (same guy has an M3, but the 318 is his AutoX car)
The BMW's go to BMW club autocross, and the Porsche goes to PCA autocross, so the only time we get together to race each other is in go-karts.
Occasionall we do a LAN party and race Need For Speed against each other.
