i just got this set of wheels with tire from a board member that told me that they were in perfect condtions without scratches and dings with about 70% tread. i just got them yesterday and here is what they look like. pls give comments and suggestion. i will not metion any names unless this doesn't get resolve. and i thought that 2ki members are suppose to be honest with each other. i've sold a lot things to other members and i've been honest about it everytime. but i guess you can't trust anyone!!! he also metioned that i should contact fedex for any problems regarding the conditions of the tires and wheels. what fedex is suppose to replace wornout tires and scratched up wheels?
pls give feed back and what is the right thing to do.

70% TREADS

 

Wow, 70% is quite a stretch. I'm replacing mine and they look about like that, maybe even better. The wheels don't look too bad but they shouldn't have said they were in "perfect" condition with no scratches. Buying online = buyer beware.

Based on what I see, it looks like this "member" is trying to pull a fast one on you. I know I have not been a member too long, but, I find that maintaining intergrity (on this board especially) is very important. Reputation is everything on here and this "member" looks like he/she may be losing it.

I say if he/she does not own up to it, post their name on here and call them out. I would not want to buy something from them in the future.

You got screwed. The only was FedEx would have caused those scratches is if they wheels weren't packaged correctly. As for the tires, they are almost totally gone. The seller needs to do something to resolve this situation.

 

I think he meant 70% of the tread was GONE.

Did he always clean them with steel wool?

I'd want my money back.

 

I'd feel like I'd been screwed also. PM the seller and see if you can get it resolved directly. If not, post his name!

Wheels certainly aren't in "perfect" condition. Maybe some wax will clear those scratches up. But Ubetit hit it on the nose with the tires when he said, "maybe 70% gone".
Before you send them back maybe you could take those center cap badges off and mail them to me. Those are the color I want.
