I'm officially a jackass.

I was spraying away on my top w/ RaggTopp Protectant, and now my windshield, windows and doors are covered w/ a splotchy film I can't get rid of. It also fogged up the plastic window, even though it says "won't harm plastic windows." The advertisement on AutoFanatics said you don't have to mask the car (I think). Anyway -- my fault for not being more careful.

So, 2 things. Be careful when using this product -- the top does look a lot better.

But...does anyone have suggestions on how to remove the film from the car? I religously use Zaino products and just waxed the car 1 month ago.

Which did you use? The Porsche protectant or the 303?

I would clay bar, polish and then reseal the car. Have you used Plexus on the rear window? Glass windows-mineral spirits and then a good cleaning should do the trick. Let us know.

I used the Porsche shampoo and then the Raggtopp protectant. The Porsche Techquipment (sp?) shampoo did an awesome job, leaving the top silky black -- Maybe I should have stopped at that step.

I appreciate the advice. Where can I grab a clay bar? Zaino, being only mail-order, takes a while to get products to the house.

Drmark -- just directly apply mineral spirits to the windows w/ a rag?

Oh, forgot -- I did use Plexus to rescue the rear window. It worked excellent.

Yea, just put a little on the rag, wipe the window and then use your usual window cleaner.
Here in MI I know Autozone and Walmart sell clay bars. I try any National chain auto store you'll find one.
Glad I could help

Speaking of the Porsche shampoo, the instructions indicate using a capfull. Anyone know if they are referring to the outer cap (large) or the inner cap (small)?

cheers,
