Default Popped a curb this morning : (

So it was a little wet outside this morning and i decided i wanted to slide this turn on my way to work and i popped a curb. after it happened i drove it to the aamco near my house to have the underside looked at for damage. It drove fine on the way there, no noises, just a slightly bumpier ride. i know its out of alignment and there is a bubble in the rear passenger tire now. the suspense waiting for aamco to call me with the diag is killing me. Do yall think there could be some bad damage?

Thanks

Possibly bent control arm and/or rim. (Just because there is no curb damage to the rim doesn't mean it is not bent.)

The spindle is very likely to be bent. Its easily missed. In the future, if the car shows weird behaviour (inability to align, excess tire wear on one side, weird bumpsteer, etc)...the spindle is the likely part that's to blame.

That is the part I just had replaced yesterday except left side, I was having alignment issues where I could not get any negative camber on my driver side rear, I also changed out the wheel bearing and hub (suggested by B Serious in another thread). I recently purchased the car so I have no knowledge of it hitting a curb or anything but when I went for an alignment, my max camber was 0.6 degrees, after the parts were installed the initial reading was -1.77 and has since been corrected to the stock spec of -1.5. As mentioned, it is really hard to tell if the knuckle is bent and from what I read, others have swapped it out with success.

Well i just got a call from the alignment shop and i have frame damage on the opposite side i hit the curb with. i hopped the curb with the passenger side and the frame damage is on the drivers side. so im thinking its always been there since i purchased the car, but it always drove straight. They highly advise to get it straightened by a body shop and that it would eat up tires. I cant open an insurance claim for fear of them totaling the car. Its a very sad day.
