These questions make me laugh......

We all could trade if we wanted to. Most of us could have purchased the Porsche new if we wanted to also....

You have to decide what you want to do and I can't see where asking a bunch of e-buddies is going to make any difference.....
"I have lots of money, look at me."

Most S2000 owners couldn't buy a new Boxster S. That car is nearly double the price. We're closer in price to a Civic than a Boxster... let alone the Boxster S.

I personally would have purchased the Porsche if a new one was in my price range.

The Boxster is more expensive to buy and maintain. It is also ugly

You probably know where my vote goes...
While I agree it's "expensive", I don't think it's ugly at all

Love the new Boxster S, but not enough to justify the price difference. You can pick up a new S2000 for right around $30k and that's an incredible bargain.

The Boxster S is an overpriced S2000. If you are fan of the badge than you won't be bothered. If it's not about the badge, than the Porsche shouldn't even be considered.

hmmm...lets see if I want a performance car for the price of a boxster S...I think I would just get a 03/04 Corvette Z06 as they will be cheaper and faster in every category. That would have been my purchase if I were looking in that price range.

Now as for S2K versus Boxster S I look at it this way (business guys perspective)

1. Boxster S = $53000

2. S2K = 30,000
+ 4,500 S/C
+ 2500 Brakes
+ 2500 Suspension
+ 1300 (approx) for EMS
Grand total = 40,800 and a monster of a roadster.

I could use the other 12,200 for a haircut or something like that

Return on investment (performance wise) is definitely with the S2K
