I guess I shouldn't tell you about all the other parts I went crazy with. I also installed the oil bolts and the polished Vortech ready pan. The pan was more work than the intake and it doesn't even show unless you lay on the ground and look under the car. Well, at least it is not lowered.

I like the subtle bling look where you have to dig to find it rather than putting it in peoples faces. I refuse to polish the Regamasters.

Full information including costs will be released with the dyno results when I get back from pulling on the big bluefin tuna.

Oh yes, did you hear, Black is faster.

I hope you know that surface texture has a somewhat not inconsequential effect on cooling... I don't know that the oil pan which is obviously designed with cooling fins on it would be my choice of something to polish for that reason.

Leo Gets, also had some head work to his car and only picked up like 4 rwhp and 2 rwtq. Good luck, and please post the dyno numbers when you have them.

I'm not trying to disparage the work he had done at all -- but he didn't have Alaniz do the work! As UL said, they spent about 18 months testing and developing the port and polish job on the head. From what I understand, Leo Gets just had some cylinder head shop port and polish it. No documented flowbench testing (whereas sideways had exact numbers on flow increases).

I think we will see bigger gains with this. If he were to do an "optomized" NA build-up, I think you would see much better gains.

damcgee, I will love to see the gains of this head work {sideways} has done, plus will like to know the cost of the head work aswell. Now think of a S2000 with this head work, Toda Cams Ver.2, Toda header, Amuse exhaust and the new ITB that was posted in the photo gallery:https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...threadid=146422 should be a very interesting combination, but only time will tell.

I went up to the DFW area last Sunday and spent the day with Marcucci installing my Hondata Gasket. After getting the intake manifold unbolted and disassembled for cleaning prior to reinstallation it was made pretty apparent by Marcucci that Honda had done an excellent job in production on this car. He pointed out just how smooth the porting was already in stock form and both of us were in agreement that any kind of extra porting would net minimal gains at best.

I'd still be interested to hear what the dyno has to say. Did you do any baseline runs before the work was complete?

That looks very nice. I look forward to hearing from you with dyno results.
