I'm curious as to exactly how many members have this...I wonder if Honda has done anything to remedy it for 2001.

If you mean the one where it peels at the junction of the fender and the bumper...

Got it on the right hand side.

A piece about the size of a dime worked out of the seam... but the visible damage is a line in the seam about 3/8" long.

I'm saving this repair for when I go in for the recall and the grind.

Dan

I had the problem and then got the bumper repainted. They were also nice enough to get over spray all over the car.

Had it on both sides for over six months.

Waiting to get it fixed under warranty at 2 years 11 months.

hehe, exactly! Let them fix all the stone chips while they are at it. I've got a small spot on the right side. I figure that with some more time, more problems will develop. Not in a big hurry.

Ive got it. bumper cover, on the edge at the hood, each side just inside of the headlights.

Supposedly have an appt to meet with the deistrict rep on oct 31 to get it taken care of, but want to wait. The Service Manager I spoke to said that if I wait they'd be less likely to authorize it since it could more easily be explained away. Anyone have a take on this? I guess I could get him to write it down somewhere that there is a problem, and take timestamped pictures. hmm..

Hmm...concerns me, because I don't want my car's paint to be peeling (obviously), and I hope something has been done to remedy this for 2001.

Got the paint peel problem on the driver side, had it repainted under warranty 6 month ago. Paint peeling again, same side. I'll wait till the christmas season to have paint peel fix, 2nd gear grind fix and the seat belt recall fix.
BTW, body shop just tried to touch up rock chips on the fender, looks crappy. I don't think they'll fix rock chips on fenders and hood.
