Here's the link to the pic thread showing which coolant lines to block using 1/4 inch ballbearings.

by this way, this does NOTHING for the car. regardless of what people claim, no one has hard solid evidence of the contrary. (scientific dyno'ing for example) Also, some of the top minds on this site have "debunked" this "mod" as well.

Well, thanks for the link and thanks for the heads up. So, is that the consensus, that blocking the line with ball bearing doesn't work? If it blocks the line sending coolant to TB why wouldn't it work? SG

There are people who will swear this works. Then there are people who are extremely knowledgeable about things like this, such as xviper, slowS2k, etc, who have "debunked" this. Not to mention this has been debunked on the internet as well.

People who claim it does something to the car, do so with absolutely no scientific proof. Their "proof" is their own subjection. The reason the hondata IMG blocks off this coolant line is more of an 'icing on the cake' deal. Doing just the TB coolant block without the IMG is like peeing on a massive forest fire. it just won't make a difference.

The reason you won't see scientific proof of this, is because people who actually try to get that proof, wind up proving themselves wrong, when they do it correctly and scientifically. And they end up proving what the more knowledgeable people already know.

In fact, this "mod" can actually cause an erratic idle and other such side effects.

really? you measured your intake temperatures before and after in the exact same ambient temperature, exact same ambient humidity, after running the car the exact same amount of time? how about the temp of the air inside the Intake Manifold before and after? what were your coolant temps before and after? your oil temp? your intake manifold temp? cool, it worked for you, so let me know all of these things so we can help other people test it the same scientific way you did!

no it won't.

so, please answer my questions. or did you not measure all of those things, and are basing this soley on your own subjections. i bet snake oil and the turbonator work really great for a lot of people too after they put them in their car.
