almost the same thing happen to me before. Next day, my car idle at 0, and keeps on shutting off. I decided to change the spark plugs and the car runs normal so far.

Well I pulled the battery and so far no rough idle or shuttering sound.... Still gonna get it checked out.

Also... when I go get it checked out, what should I ask them to look at???

 

I hope you didn't bend a valve, cause if you did you'll need some bank to fix it

 

Compression and or leakdown test.

 

I have done that before, downshifting from 5th-2nd but I was never going fast enough to get it to red line. I think I hit 7000Rpm. How screwed am I?
