its just a poll to gauge an idea...im not gettin rims and newer tires anyways...at least not for awhile.
Just say "no" to style bars.
also, im not short...some of the pics the windsheild would have hit me.
fawk, i posted in the site problem forum, idk wtf it is but i cant link photos unless from my photobucket...dude, here is the thread, i saw the same wrecks you did. there were a handful where the pillars were or at one point of impact, at driver level
i know you know where the thread is, but here is the link for others

You don't sit up that close to the windshield. All the pictures on the front page of rollovers didn't have cabin intrusion. And the windshield folded a little in order to match the slant of the front nose. If you look, the soft top isn't even rubbed in some of those. Style bar wouldn't have come into play.
If you read the comments of the people who were actually in those wrecks, they didn't have any problems with cabin intrusion. Compare that to the picture of the Solstice midway through... THAT's cabin intrusion.

i read and saw them all, i feel that in the event of a crash, given the situation you are at risk, its all relevant. like i said, at some point the flex may have been further than where it settled, very logical, and other truthfully probably not....for my context, a mt. road.....it would deffinately not hurt. thats it...and like i said, i like it.
this is funny because im reading and getting excited about auto x, and still willing to go to batt that i like the look the roll bar/style bar.

You should get excited for autox. It's a lot of fun! And the people respect each other for driving skill rather than "mad tite cars, yo."
If you're going to get a roll bar, get a real roll bar.
Otherwise it's hellaflushness.
At least hold off on the ebay bar until you try autocross.
Kind of like the vented hood. Why? Unless you have a turbo or something to cool, it's just show without the go.
A local kid showed up to a local event in his slammed, vented hooded, CAI'd S2000. He really was a terrible driver.
A different kid in a stock S2000 had done his homework and spent his money on tires and a front sway bar. He won the Novice class and was getting props from the club members.
im not as interested in the competing aspect
and actually, the vented hood mod would help with living in austin fighting traffic in my DD....my car bogs so bad i almost tear up at lights when im sitting :'(
so idc how it looks, as much as it can help vent some of the excessive heat from sitting at redlight after redlight....as i mentioned, im 20, full time student, and full time employee...my job is literally to drive around all day from facility to facility to inspect and make sure everything is in working order. AWESOME JOB HUH?! my boss is a car junky and was stoked when i got a car he knew i would at least have fun in while dealing with work. as for your story about the kids, im very sure the vice versa has been true. nonetheless, at least the kid with the modded car is/did try.
lol, and i dont say "mad tite yo"
or yo.
but its all good. like i said, i never ruled it out, in fact, i answered your poll as "No, there's no place nearby (or I don't know where the nearest club is)"
just for the second part primarily. i would want to go to the event with my friends though...they dont drive S's....? but the only track near me is in san marcos, harris hill road....its kinda pricey though...looked into that a while ago.
