I am sure you are mistaken. It DOES NOT work on my car and no one else has been able to do this. Go try it and let everone know.

PLAYLIFE: For a while, I'm sure everyone was ready to call you a liar, or just crazy! Glad you made that point about the RHD. With a wiring diagram for both LH and RH cars, it shouldn't be too difficult for some electrical genius to figure out what the wiring differences are between the two (for the door locks). I bet quite a few people with LHD would like to rewire the locks on their S2Ks.

I think the Euro, Jap, Aus, Asian versions have the lock/unlock feature from the driver's side. Regardless of whether they are LHD or RHD.

Remember, only the US version requires the clutch to be depressed in order to start. Sometimes I wished that the passenger window kill switch could be converted to a lock/unlock switch.

I mean who the hell needs a passenger window kill switch? Safety for kids? Well, put a passenger airbag kill switch too then.

Why does WrongHD do this and LHD will not? When this was discussed before I don't remember anyone with RHD saying they could unlock passenger door.

Who cares? With the top down the passenger can reach in and unlock their own door!

I've looked into this and the door controllers between the US LHD and the Oz RHD are different. For example the LHD has an independant lock / unlock output to interface to the alarm module the RHD doesn't, LHD has independant driver unlock from remote the RHD doesn't, etc..

Bottom line, failing external additions or changes to the controller internally the systems are different and NOT interchangeable as the harnesses are different, etc..

there are lots of discussion on these differences in earlier discussions but all got no where except - live with it.

Hmmm. I've never locked the door manually so I had no idea there was a feature attached. Oh well, couldn't care less.
