power door locks

So I guess the answer is that if you want this feature, I'll have to move to Australia? I have always wanted to go. I could get used to being upside down, but driving on the wrong side of the road? I just dont know

I WILL take that transcontinental train ride one day.

Does the door lock if you have the key in the ignition? Mine doesn't look either way. I think my power lock isn't working on my 01. I can use the remote to lock it but not by manually pressing the driver side lock. Any ideas? My car is salvaged and the door was replaced, but if someone could provide me with a diagram or some helpful means of fixing it that would be great!

I have a 2000 model and the passenger side power lock doesn't seem to unlock or lock with the remote, is this normal?

Forgot to mention it's a UK non import model.
