Power loss AND clutch "click"?
In another thread I asked for some advice concerning some power loss I was experiencing in my new 2003 Silverstone w/ 4444 miles (I've experienced the loss since about 2400 miles). Many of the replies thought it might be the clutch, or a map sensor. I've got an appt. to take the car in on Feb. 2nd, but last night I noticed something new with my clutch. My clutch now has a clicking feeling right at the release point; the only way I can describe it is if you snapped a toothpick in half with your hands, except this feeling is obviously transfered to your foot everytime you pass the release point. Is that a sign that I might have clutch problems?
Also, (I know I'm knit picking) my tach has a space that looks like one of the lights might be out behind it.
It goes from 0rpm, has a space, then continues on to 9k with no spaces... so it looks like this: I IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
I noticed on the '04 tach that it looks like this:
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII (no space)
I was wondering if this was normal for the '03 or if it had a blown light or somehting. It's always been that way so I just don't know.
Thanks for the help guys.
