Default Presskit S2000....snorkel?

I was checking out s2000.org's site and happened to glance at a underhood shot
of the presskit photos from the year 2000 that were given to dealers in North America.
I happened to notice the intake is different. The presskit intake has something(kind of cropped out)
that looks like a plastic version of a spoon/muz snorkel. All production s2000's have that
little plastic horn for the intake. People always comment that a snorkel is what the factory
airbox needs to be complete. Maybe Honda had it all along and yanked it for unknown reasons.

If anybody has better angles of this pic, I would love to see them.

looks like the factory air horn, but extending all the way in front of the radiator to who knows how far down.

Yes, it look like a snorkel. If this "OEM Snorkel" fits MY04, I may be interested.

There is no such thing as an "OEM" snorkel. (Read my previous post.) ALL currently available snorkels will fit all MY of S2000.

ya, last i checked, muz had 2 versions pre04, and 04+ which had a little groove on it that the pre04 snorkel didn't have(it just made it fit better). pretty much the same function.

Yup, this is because the 2 grills have their fins in different places. The slot is supposed to fit into one of the fins, however, this was never an big deal. In the early days of snorkels, people just rested the leading opening lip of the snorkel against the fins, drilled an appropriate hole in the snorkel and ran a zip tie.
