Anybody happen to know the prices on the gears, syncro pack, and shaft that are covered in the TSB??

I wanna know why they are so reluctant to fix my car!! and if I cant get them to do it under warranty, if I can purchase the parts myself . .

I see that you are in MD. Which dealer is rejecting your request?

Salisbury and Easton, I just know it wont grind when they drive it, being an intermittant problem. Besides it hasnt been hot latley, then they start on how I could have been racing it . . .
I just dont like the service departments and how they have treated me.

I think you should probably go to another dealership. From my brother in-law (who owns a Honda dealership) - if a dealership is reluctant to work on your car - there is probably a reason. The job is quite involved and they might not have someone experienced/skilled enough to do the work. I can't help you with a local one - but a starting place might be the dealer ratings that American Honda has on all the dealerships. This is compiled by customers and I believe that service is broken out.

I have tried those two places, and am getting closer to baltimore, and on a previous thread there were MANY dissatisfied owners, with bad experiences or bad service around this area. It is very disheartining, I may never buy another honda because of it.
Of course they may never make another one that is such an effort either.

One of my points is, if they dont want to do it, for whatever reason, that reason should not be a question of my integrity and or driving skill. Both of which were questioned by BOTH dealers I have formally inquired about this problem.

I was hoping someone would have an idea of the prices of the parts, or I could get off my butt and call about them, huh?

I don't know how much the synchros and other related parts might cost but given the amount of labor involved, don't you think you would need an accurate estimate of the hours involved?

Do you have the extended warranty and would this be covered?

THANK YOU!!

Being less than 300$ I would rather do the work myself, I beleive myself to have enough experience with automotive mechanics, 5 complete engines, 2 custom tuned, and countless engine work/tranny/drivetrain repairs. . .

I would do the warranty (no its not extended) just because it would be free.
HOWEVER I do not feel comfortable with someone else working on my car, especially after my dealer experiences.

Also, if they wont honor the warranty, then what good is it?!?

Thanks for the replys
