If you want to get a good return on your $32,800 then why don't you buy some bonds or something? I'm not an owner, but I'm planning to buy a new S2000 around the end of this year. If an accurate knowledge of the resale value of a used S will help me negotiate with the dealer, then I'll be very thankful to this site. When I buy the car, I'll be buying to own it and enjoy it, not to rub my palms and reflect on my little gold mine in the garage.

Perhaps you "privileged" owners should be thinking about assisting other auto enthusiasts in reaching their ownership goal instead of focusing solely on your own interests.

Do we owners want these people telling prospective buyers what price THEY THINK the car should sell for?

I agree 110% with Cbeyond I post info to other prospective buyers because I want to HELP them and I am not an owner yet but am going through the pricing process I think that it is very selfish to ask not to post because it will affect the value of your car. In fact a lot of owners post where to get the cheapest prices I was under the impression this site was to help people.

First off the black book is not available to everyone. Correct me if I'm wrong, please. Secondly I didn't buy this car for making profits. I just don't like buying cars, which I frequently do, and losing that much money. For all you would be buyers, you don't even know if you'll like the S2K when you get it. It takes a certain crowd to wanna keep one. When the S2k originally came out older people bought the car because of a lot of reason. One main reason they got rid of was the high reving, not meant for daily driving design. The dealers now tell customers that these are great track cars and can be undesireable for commmuting.

Now before I get flammed I'm not saying I agree just saying reasons for people to want to sell the car soon after buying it. Now these first people most likely didn't lose much money because of the newness of the car but now..... You could lose a lot of money if you don't know what others are getting them for. I wish I saw the things on this site about the values before I bought mine. I paid NADA for mine. However I think the car is well worth it. But in the same scenrio I wouldn't mind having saved some money by joining this message board. So keep the info coming. Thanks to the guys posting.

Man, Honda should stop making the S2000. It'll get all common and lose its exclusivity. It'll lose its resale too. No, cbb, youdon't want to car. Go buy a Z or something. Just kidding.

I have to say this entire conversation of the S2000 becoming to common just isnt gonna happen. If I recall correctly Honda has sold 15000 S2000 a year (on average). This will never flood the market for the entire US. Buy a Ford Explorer and then lets talk about resale value.....
