i'd say the biggest factor is your location. I've been noticing that places other than sunny florida and california are paying less prices...

I bought my '05 with 14k miles for 25k... if possible maybe buy one from private seller during the winter time out of state??

you'll notice on ebay that closing prices for ap2's with no mods are suprisingly high. i might sell mine there when it comes time...

Did you get it from a dealer or a private seller?

Thanks for all your inputs I live in north Florida, so the weather's pretty nice here (except this past weekend of storms, was gonna go to the beach with my wife too ). The seller is about 2.5 hrs from me. So I can't just go check it out a few times. Asked for more pictures (he sent half in black & white ) and i saw some rock chips on the front (no biggie) and the front right rim got scraped, (he said he took a bad turn), but not that bad, i dont think.

Anyway, i'm gonna go look at the car in person on the 4th. Will keep you guys updated

aren't people getting '07s in the 28-29 range? I got mine for 30. I'm not always a "new car" person, but people like to drive the S real hard. I would much rather get a new car than a used if it is only a 3-4k premium (like 10% premium for new vs a 2 year old used car).

I dont know. For some reason I feel that it is priced a little high. But I think because I'm just comparing to my own purchase and as well as my location. Just like Virland, I live in Chicago and got my 02 38K miles for 17k in Jan. 07. Since you live in Florida, where its always nice, these cars are more wanted than here in Chicago. I think maybe if you can get it to 24k would be a great price. But I guess, whats another thousand matter at that point already. I dont know anymore, maybe its an ok price where you live. But I thought ppl were getting MY06-07 for about $29k almost new???

I got my car from CarMax Car wasn't in perfect condition though. Probably an 8/10. Wheels had a few blemishes, front bumper was a little scratched underneath, but all in all I think it was a great deal.

You should just go buy a brand new 2007 model, they're going fore 28k-29k before TTL.

Definitely haggle the price down. I purchased my '05 with 7,300 miles from a Honda CPO dealership for $24,500 on the last day of November in 2006. Since this is the "season" for convertibles, they might be price a tad higher. Definitely get the car checked out by an independent mechanic that you trust before buying, or at least bring a friend along that knows what to look for, if the car has been in an accident and a police report was never filed, it will not show on a carfax. My friends Integra has been involved in 3 minor accidents, which still required substantial repairs, none of them show up on carfax. Things that I start to look for on the S when I was shopping for mine was:
-VIN numbers missing from body panels
-Stickers missing from under the hood
-Paint on parts that aren't supposed to have paint (i.e. radiator, the black inserts in the front bumper)
-frame rail damage
-missing foam insert between radiator and front radiator support
-paint ridges where parts of the body that where masked off with tape
-misaligned body panels
-hood doesn't close properly
-and more.....

By the way, this is the guy that bought the '94 Integra LS from yflyer. Everything works on the car (knock on wood), except the power antenna (which is typical of cars with power antenna's), and I couldn't be happier with it as a daily driver....for now. It will sooner or later be a car for me to learn to autocross in; the S is just too expensive to race and modify.

Good luck with your decision

Just to give you a good Florida comparison...I bought my '05 with 6k miles on it this past December 06 for 26k. I bought it from a BMW dealership in central Florida in absolutely perfect condition.

I'm sure you could find a better price, I'm sure I could have found a better price...but sometimes it's good to just take the plunge.

Thanks Chino101, i'll definitely write that list down and check them.

About the price, I originally set my limit to low 20's (maybe 22-23k max). But after looking at some at that price range, the condition of those cars (long scratches, big dents, one even had an inch of gap in the rear panel, and it was listed for $29k!) I figure I could raise my cap a few grands and get a nicer one. Can't keep raising the price though, wife wants a new car too, eventually

And for those that are saying 28-29 brand new, where are you guys located?

If you search Honda's website for CPO's you can sometimes find a good deal, check it out. There is a 2006 Silverstone with under 3,000 miles listed at $26K in Orlando; I drove 150 miles to buy mine.
