yo acx.. as long as you know you have a quality ride, the hell wit da ignorant. not to stray from your post but i remember having to explain to some people that usc (southern california not south carolina) wasn't part of the university of california system. on an even funnier note, when i explained to peeps that my sister attended the university of pennsylvania, they would always attempt to correct me and say penn state. people can just be plain stupid.

The saga continues!

Friday I parked my car in Del Mar and these four snobby types walked by, one lady says that's a really nice car and her partner says (as he is walking away) "Yes, that's the Honda that ripped off the Porsche".

Hmmm... should I be mad that the guy was so ill informed or glad that he thinks it looks like a Porsche copy???

Maybe I'll just remember what a great drive I had on the coast that day and forget the fools!

I agree. I like the WOW factor. I get comments about half the time I stop anywhere. All are favorable but the most recurring is "OMG, that's a Honda!". I had two Hells Angels stop me at a gas station to tell me how great the car looked cruisin' on the highway (to Phoenix from Vegas). I always thought of myself as somewhat introverted until my boss pointed out that, if that was the case, why did I buy a car that screams "look at me!". He's got a point... and I do love the attention it gets and the chance it gives me to talk about it with others... even Porsche and BMW owners.

More often than not, I actually get people saying wow doesn't that car cost like $90,000 (Canadian Peso's). Its like well no, its only about $50,000 new. "Oh wow!"

I also get so many stares, people screaming, hollering.

They see it in person and they dont even think for a second that its a Honda. It looks like a german sports car of some sort (porsche, bmw)...

I like the Miata. If there wasn't an S I'd be driving a Miata, especially now that I know that its from Germany.
