I'm new to this forum cause i just got my S2000 2 months ago!!!!!
The problem, as the thread suggests, is my CD player skips all the damn time, even when i change lanes and hit the little lights between the lanes? Does this happen to anyone else???

Any suggestions on replacement and speaker possibilites?

thanks

I've never heard it skip before while playing a CD, even on really bumpy roads. Did you take your CD out and see if it was dirty or scratched?

My stereo was replaced under warranty (TSB 057) but due to a different reason. The sound stopped while I was playing a CD even though the head unit acknowledged the volume was up and everything was fine.

Never had that problem...when I go over this one road it always skips, but that's cause it hits a quick dip...might want to get that checked out.

There are pieces on the side of the unit that set it to spring for horizontal or vertical mode. If one or 2 of them is set to vertical it will skip if a cat comes along and pees on your tire while stopped playing your music!

This is the trunk mounted CD player right? If its the head unit then it needs replacing no questions asked! If your gonna do that mind as well yank it out and put a new radio in. ;

Pinky is right, assuming that you are talking about your CD changer in the trunk. The same thing was happening with mine. But I took my unit in, and they completely replaced the unit. Now if works fine, not skipping at all.

Yep...my changer was set on vertical when it was sitting horizontal on the factory mounting brackets. Skipped like a rock. When I changed the settings to horizontal...I could autocross without it skipping.
