This message is directed to street concepts directly

As with many members on this site I am a professional and when I purchase an item I research the item and the company I am purchasing it from. Why, because when I am planning on spending a large sum of money on my car I want fair/good prices from GOOD people and honest businesses.

When I began reading this thread and saw your response I was disgusted at how you conduct business. I waited to read your thread prior to forming an opinion. Now I have one, which I will share. A real man and a real business will admit a mistake and correct it. If you loose $500, because of your mistake then you learned a $500 lesson, but then C4sxm5 would have told us you held up your end and you would have gotten ALOT of business making more money in the end, but now as a result I can personally tell you that I will never purchase anything from your company or recommend you to anyone.

Moral: Honesty is the path to true happiness and success in both life and business.

Regards,
Denver

P.S. C4Sxm5 - For what its worth I think you were respectful of the "s2k member", because you did not mention his name. Very considerate in my personal opinion. Good luck with whatever actions you choose to take.

LOL, that voicemail was classic. They were going for straight out fraud saying it was Seibon and it included all genuine honda parts.....what a load of . They mis-represented the brand of the top and what was included blatently and were caught! on letting everyone see how streetconcepts really does buisness.

We should keep this thread alive! Keep bumping it so everyone can see it on the front page.

What slimy bastards. They should rot and die. I wouldn't take a free product from them on principle alone. Or take it and sell it for $2000... then hire bums to picket outside their shop for $5/hour.

I sympathize with C4SxM5, but I don't think the company necessarily was fraudulent ... It sounds like they made an honest mistake. The problem is that C4SxM5 asked a couple of times to make sure the price was correct and they did not verify it, and on top of that they changed gears once he got there ...

For the company to do what they did doesn't necessarily make them a fraudulent company or that they did anything illegal ... (although I guess its kind of up for debate on the legality here, but bait and switch usually means that the company knowingly advertised a product at one price and did not have it and then tried to offer a similar product for more money - if this was an honest mistake it really isn't bait and switch) - but the way they handled the situation was extremely poor. It shows me that even while Streetconcept may be a legit company and if you buy something from them and have no issues things will be fine ... if you did have an issue with it, the company isn't consumer oriented enough to handle the problem for you.

For that reason alone I thank C4SxM5 for warning us and I will make sure I never buy from them. Hopefully StreetConcept wises up and realizes that the lost business that this bad PR is generating isn't worth the $500 and grief they've caused you.

What I don't understand is why Streetconcept said that C4SxM5 told them that he(C4SXM5) was a shop, which is why they offered a discounted price in the first place, then after finding out he wasn't a shop, raised the price again. What's up with that?

Perhaps you should read the thread again ...

C4 does run a business, which is what he said.

C4 went to what strikes me as significant effort to verify and re-verify pricing before making the trip to San Diego. It's not like this was a casual phone call with a quick price quote from a sales rep.

Blatant deception ... or at best awful customer service.
