Does it really matter? If you bought the car in the hopes they would make a few and then quit, it would certainly make the cars more valuable but look at it this way. What if you had bought a Corvette when they first came out and held onto it? Does the fact that Chevrolet still makes Corvettes mean yours is worth less to a collector?

Fact is even if you had bought the 'vette back then, you'd have done much better to have purchased stock in GM. If you want to make money from a Honda, buy Honda stocks, not Honda stooks.

Really depends on your investment horizon and weather you understand the difference between investments and collectibles. Investments are for increasing long term wealth collectibler are for pleasure (both long and short term). If a collectible increases in value all the power to you. Warren Buffet (you know who he is?) advises against "investing" in collectibles. I bought my car not as an investment but as a collectible. The production run will only effect it's collectability.....I'll have pleasure either way. As for investing in Honda? Obviously you haven't tried to place a buy order on the Nikkei Exchange.....
