Default Project S2000

Hopefully I am posting this in the right place. I thought I would let those interested know that today I received my October 2006 Issue of Sport Compact Car magazine. Paging through I find part one of their new Project S2000. In this issue they resurrect a 2000 model with head damage from a missed shift. They replace the valvetrain with Ferrea components and some new OEM pieces. If you would like to know more pick up the October issue. I thought some of us that were new to the S2000 and some that are veterans would appreciate reading a buildup series from the beginning.

I've been subscribed to them for a nice, long time now. It will be cool to follow this build. Next they'll be swapping out tires and wheels...

Lol, what a coincidence because my car is undergoing that procedure (all OEM parts though) and it's a 2000.

Yeah I was pretty stoked when I saw that. But i just wish that they would use different rims other then volks. thats what Im guessing seeing how they said that they will be calling mackin.

Why cant they use work, prodrive, bbs. Just something a little different.

Oh well we'll see what they do with it, hopes its good though !

I bet they're just gonna throw a comptech or vortech blower on it and call it a day.

Although I would like to see them do something different like build a 2.5L with hi-comp pistons or something.

My guess is they'll boost it as well...

I'd love to see an N/A build...

They'll boost it, as history has shown, they'll take the more cost efficient route, but if the NA route proves to have certain advantages that will justify its cost, they'll do it instead. Still, would be nice for them to build a stroker or something.
