Project S2000
Each one of us would like SCC to not only do something different, but something that we personally are looking into doing. For some of us it's turbo, others it's supercharging, and others it's N/A.
My bias is going N/A, and contrary to TheDonEffect's comment, I believe they may justify the N/A route on this one for the following reasons:
1) The F20C is one of the best production N/A engines and to force-feed such a focused, hand-built engine would be near sacrilege (okay, maybe that's more my opinion than a good reason)
2) It seems like the incoming trend in the Honda community is building insane N/A motors as opposed to turbocharging (from what I've seen in other magazines and places like Hondatech).
3) Where's the challenge in making 300+ HP using a blower?
4) They (SCC) know and respect the weak drivetrain (see the feature with the Spoon N1 S2000, a supercharged S, and a stock S where they settled for rolling-start performance numbers) and would not be interested in turning the car into a drag car or a HP braggart.
5) SCC has done some extensive N/A builds and have done them right. In particular, I previously owned a Nissan SE-R, and vividly remember the 200SX SE-R N/A build where Mike Kojima was shooting for 200WHP. It was a GREAT project that not only provided the SR20 community a ton of information on N/A parts like headers, exhausts, and the almighty cam comparo, but it also led to the DEVELOPMENT of awesome parts thanks ot Kojima and Jim Wolf Technology. What the SE-R project did for the SR20 community, I truly hope this S2000 project does for the F20 community. It would be great if we could reap the rewards of cost-effective, street camshafts or an intake manifold...
6) When it comes to a car like the S2000, N/A is best

And let's hope you're right.
Who knows what they'll end up with:
If you read towards the beginning of the magazine, there is a Q/A article where a guy asks something about an s2000 and the writer responds and mentions at some point in the article that a 2003 s2000 has i-vtec.

I'm blown. Wanna race?

Maybe on a tight road course
I had a T25 turbocharged SE-R before...it was fun to go fast and begged me to get into trouble. Despite the small turbo, it still had a little bit of lag that was less than ideal on the track. I've never driven a supercharged car, and judging from reviews and dyno plots, the power delivery is much more linear than an N/A Honda and would be great for certain tracks. As a newbie RWD-owner and tracker, I enjoy being underpowered to a certain extent. I'm sure that I would be faster around a track in an N/A S2000 rather than a boosted S2000. But with an experienced driver, I'm sure a supercharged S would take it to me and my S.
