Project XGA
OK, I know there have been many many post predicting the future of S2000 and this is one of them
too
. But I am pretty sure its fairly a new infomation. Best Car Magazine said Honda started a
new sportscar project called XGA. Its not a S2000 but a successor of S2K. It makes sense that
S2000 will not be major changed since it is a Honda's 50th anniversary car. Any ways this XGA
will be four seater, closed body, FF or hybrid 4WD and coupe like 4dr (like RX-8). Probably as
most people out here think, I don't know how this can be a successor to S2000 but engine of XGA
will be a customized S2000 engine and is predicted that it would be tuned for more torque. Heres
a spec that Best Car MG predicted:
2.2 liters
240ps @ 7500
23.0 kgm @ 5500
+50ps from a motor (if hybrid)
and for dimension they are predicting
Length: within 4500mm
Width: about 1850mm
Height: about 1250mm
I really would like show pics of this. I will try posting it tommorrow if anyones interested.

Check out the September/October edition of Speed magazine (by Road & Track) on page 16. Plans are for the S2000 to be discontinued in 2008 and replaced by a 2+2, not a drop top. Read on...
