Prolonging Lifetime of s2000
Hey everybody, I just purcahsed my 2005 S2000 used last week...
Im a super noob when it comes to cars, but I was wondering , how bad is it on the engine if I rev it up fairly high consistantly?
I have one friend who says the s2000 was designed for high RPM's , so the engine wont wear much if I keep the RPM under 6k..
Another friend says to put it over 7k RPM "once a week at most" and to try to avoid going above 5k.
Ideally I want to rev it as much as possible to impress the ladies walking by me, but I dont want to damage my car.

But ya, our cars are meant for high revolutions, but I suggest not overdoing it as often. Goodluck!

Dont think about it so much. There's no "good amount of times to rev it up per week". Just drive the car. Keep it within reason and within it's parameters and it will last a LONG time.
You're not going to break anything unless you're trying to break it. Even if you try to break it, you'd be surprised at how long it takes.
Dont drag race or abuse the diff. The diff is the only worrysome part.
Everything else is pretty much rock solid. Have fun with it, just dont abuse it. Just like any other well made product.
