Default Pronunciation.

How do you pronounce 'Mugen' ?

Is it Mew-en or Mu-gen, or something completly different?

The word is pronounced with two syllables: mu-gen

mu= moo
gen = g has a hard sound like "get"

As stated above it's MOO-GEN.

If you want to get really technical the N is slightly dropped off the end of the word and you nasalize the ending with a slight decrease in emphasis.

I just had this conversation at a conference with a student from Japan the pronunciation was pretty straight-forward but the technique of dropping the N while keeping the nasal portion was tricky.
