Punked a Boxster
Saw my first boxster today in my stook. He was getting on the freeway while I was in the far left lane, so I slowed down to give him a taste of what 9rpm feels like. He pulled up nex to me in and I dropped to third going about 60. Took off and he just stayed there. Waited for him again and this time just kept it in third and punched it a couple of times to see if he wanted some. He didn't. I guess he knew what would happen already hahahah. Oh well, maybe next time I'll see a boxster owner with a little more balls! One other thing, while I was merging onto the freeway, Almost had my first accident as I didn't see a car in my blind spot and merged into his lane. To say the least the saturn was a little pissed and freaked out as he tried to catch up to me to give me the finger or something. So, I left him in rearview and reminded myself to be more careful of the blind. Remember stook'ers, no matter how you set your side mirrors, you can't always see every car coming. Keep it above 6rpm but remember to keep it safe too!
wow, a lot of negative feedback huh... Was just trying to enjoy my car. Next time I'll just keep my adventures to myself. You guys can't tell me when you had a nice car at 23 you didn't want to enjoy it. I can say that I purchased it myself and can handle myself on the road without a lot of people's reprimands.

huyto - It sounds like the Boxster didn't want to play.
I was not there to see the road conditions and situation of the Boxster encounter. But, many of us here have learned (sometimes the hard way) that racing on the street is not a good thing. You will love how the car handles on a track or auocross course. Now that I've experienced that, I realize that playing on the street doesn't allow you to go anywhere close to the limits of this fine car. Should we drive with verve and elan and enjoy our roadster? Absolutely! Should we cut people off and taunt other drivers? Thats not very polite ... nor safe.

When merging onto a highway if there isn't a car infront of me I drive fast enough to avoid the blind spot thing by going faster than everybody else. That way I know there is nobody in my blind spot.
It figures the Boxster owner wouldn't play around. How old was he? I've found most people who drive Boxsters don't care to race. One guy who works at the Honda dealership challenged me to race in his Boxster S. I didn't know he had one until I saw him at the club a couple days after I got my S2K. He told me he wanted to race, haven't ran into him on the street yet though. That would be a tough one. Gotta watch my speeding though. Most of the time it's not worth the risk...
