Punture in Drivers Side Door Panel

Make sure that your seat belt buckle retracts fully before closing your door. I was in a rush and jumped out of my car and shut the door. It didnt close all the way and I noticed the buckle was sticking out towards the door. So I moved it and shut the door. I didnt notice at the time but it puntured the panel. It made about an inch long gash in the panel

I feel your pain.

I did the same thing, the day after I got rearended.

This happened to somebody else on this forum who actually got the panel replaced under warranty! I believe that they claimed this was a manufacturers defect that made it possible for this damage to occur under normal operation.

Try the dealership. It's worth a shot!
