Default Pushing window to close door...

Anyone get tired of telling passengers to not push against the window to shut the door? I remember reading in the manual that it's not good to close the door this way, as it may cause the window to not align properly with the convertible top after a while... but I feel like I'm being so anal whenever I remind my passengers how to properly close the door everytime they get out of the car.

You allow passengers in your car?

But seriously, I mention it to my friends and it hasn't been a big deal as they actually listen. Anyone that repeats that error will walk the next time

What, you don't open and close the door for your passenger?

Oh, and don't forget to tell them to lift their feet up so as to no scratch the threshold.

this is what i do to avoid it:

1) don't have passengers in my car
2) lower the window (the top is down anyway)
3) open the door for them ... (i am more afraid that they will bang the door on something! finger prints on windows that i can clean, but door dings ... )

i guess simply telling them will do too

Most of the time, my top is down, and so is the window. When I do have my top up, the girlfriend is my passenger, and she knows betterthan to push the door shut using the window. Most of the people I know actullay don't use the window to close the door on the S2K, since it doean't have the upper frame support structure. They usually use the door itself.
