Ahaha, nooo, 06's don't have auto up. How would you go about repairing a cut wire? Also, are there ways to open up the compartment with the plugs without breaking any of the clips?

on the passenger side? did you take off the screw (and two clips in the tray if your car actually has them, mine didn't)

not so much "repairing"...but all you have to do is solder them together, or use one of those plugs that smash the two ends together.

what i did was install a switch...that way you can go back and forth at the flip of a switch. basically, cut the wire, insert one end into one end of the switch, and the other into the other end.

very simple. wish i'd have known you could do this w/o removing the panel though...i ended up breaking one or two of the clips!

Just pull the cover, gently but firmly. The second time I did this I used no tools other than a Swiss Army knife and it took me less than a minute.

I figured since Porsche lets their tops go up and down up to 31mph, that's probably a good cut-off.

Unless AP2's have auto window and top up switches I can't imagine how you manage to steer, push and hold the top up switch and pull and hold BOTH window switches at the same time!
That's easy - it only gets tricky when you factor in the coffee, cell phone, and pulling left into traffic.

I added auto up and auto down to both driver and passenger side window switches Why does it not come from the factory this way??? It is 20 cents more for the switches

You just pull it off. The first time I did it I had a very hard time. Once you figure it out you can do it in seconds. Try slipping your hand behind the panel and pushing on the clips from the back side. Also be sure you're pulling the panel strait out (parallel to the ground), that should help. Good luck.
