Wasn't the plastics quote from "It's a Wonderful Life" when the new fiance' tells James Stewart about her father's company??

 

Don't remember that one specifically but possible. We're referencing "The Graduate" with Dustin Hoffman where some guy tells the Hoffman character, who's just graduated from College, that he should be getting into "plastics". That's where it's at or going be at.

You are correct. There is a reference to "Plastics" in it's a Wonderful Life too. As a matter of fact, I wasn't sure which movie xviper was quoting from until Dario cleared it up!

As I recall, Jimmy Stewart's friend wants him to join a plastics firm on the West Coast as that is where the future is but he decides to stay behind and run the Home & Loan.
