Quarter-Mile
Im going to be soon taking my car to Moroso down here in Florida and was wondering since some of you already have taken your car to the race track, at what rpm do you think would be best to pop the clutch at the start. If anyone here in Florida interested in meeting up at Moroso in West Palm Beach, Send Email. I would like a fellow s2000 owner there. Last time I went in my accord it was all Mustang's and Camaro's. Thanks.
Between 6000-7000 rpm. If you have an '03 be sure to side step the clutch. As the clutches on the 2003's tend to be a little soft. If you just rapidly release it, chances are you'll just smoke the clutch and go nowhere. Side stepping is the key.
BTW, before all the 104-year-old men come in here talking about, "This in not a drag car", keep your comments to yourself. The purpose of this thread was to ask about how to launch an S2000. Not weather if it's good for the car or not. And people have the right to do whatever they wish with their own vehicles. Bedside

Ah how the "Vintage" S2000 owners make me laugh. Funny, first they buy an S2000 to try feel young again, and then they try support the young feeling buy posting childish comments.
I'm just glad I'm not Metamucil dependent and won

ing clue why anybody buys an S2000! Ooooooh, 21 years old and the social skills of a pet rock!
I know this may sound stupid but I have had automatics most of my life (except for a 94 BMW 3)...how do you "side step" the clutch?? I have an 03 and the first time I tried to launch I ended up going nowhere while absolutely smoking my clutch!!! It was so embarassing!!

J/K by the way!
