It is also not a boat, nor a plane and is very hard to keep on the tracks therefore making it not a very good train either.

Why is it people just cant answer a question and leave it at that? I was told the same thing when I asked about modding my MR2, and if I would have listened to people when they said it's not a good drag car, I never would have had a 600rwhp MR2T. Hell, check out Modified Mag's Nov issue and you will see my buds white 600+ rwhp MR2T (my cars twin) in it.

I do like your response though steve c, that's so true. besides, you bought the car so you can do whatever you want with it. Hell, I think Monster Garage could turn it into a Submarine if we ask I'll help

The magazines when they tested the car with 5000rpm or greater drops had transmission problems develop. If you don't want your car to last then drop at those rpms.

Why do many state this car isn't a dragster.. Technically any car wasn't made to be a dragster and if you do take it to the track there is always a chance of screwing up the engine. And for the people who are against taking the s2k to the quarter-mile, which cars do you feel its ok to take down the track. And also if you would race from a dead stop on the street, and race, isnt it the same shit as taking it to the track??

rkhondas2000,

I believe what some people are trying to tell you is that you could damage your car, as many have. I've read about lots of problems with clutches, transmissions and differentials. Honda won't cover repairs under warranty if they feel you've abused it and drag racing is abusing it in their mind.

Yes, it is the same shit on the street as on the track. Prolly safer on the track though.

I'm 51 years of age, however notice my hip use of the word "prolly." Whoops I used the word hip.

Drag away, let us know how it goes.
