I've been dragging my car for a while now( close to 100 launches). It still runs perfectly. My stock clutch doesn't even slip. This is like I post to a thread "how to take a turn in a NSX?" I don't own a NSX and I'll go there and say: "make sure you don't oversteer so you won't crash" Anybody that doesn't dragrace cars, should leave this thread alone. I have respect for everyone, but people did the same thing to my thread about quarter mile racing. It sounds just about the same like "which c/f hood should I put on my car?" your answer "c/f hoods are fugly". The guy decided to race his car, he wants to know which rpm. Very simple!
Have some respect to him and the people who wants help him.
Matt.

Xviper, don't get worked up over S2-Raw, he's actually a cool dude and a pretty funny guy. I think his comments were really meant as a joke and includes all owners who baby their car.

As for you S2-Raw (if you're reading this), you picked the wrong Vintage member to flame. This particular Rascal Scooter riding member's Xviper, and carries a pretty big stick (Comptech+Toda+4.44s) along with a wealth of S2 know how if you do a search...

I'm not sure what you're getting at. I never said you should or shouldn't race this car anywhere.
And although I don't see why you're pushing this "confession" out of me, I'll answer anyway. Yep, I've raced this car.
PLEASE, I've made no opinions in this thread as to whether or not this is a drag car or whether or not it should be raced. You have me mistaken for someone else.

Maybe I missed it ... but what does it mean to "side step" the clutch?

Press the clutch down to the floor using your toe. Then slide your toe to the left allowing the clutch to engage extremely quick with out ever guiding it up with your foot.
